Nic graduated with a BEng (Mechatronic) and BSc (Pure Mathematics) from the University of Adelaide in 2003, and received her doctorate in Biorobotic Engineering from the Australian National University in 2007. She has held research positions at the Centre of Excellence in Cognitive Interaction Technology in Bielefeld, Germany, and the Designing Emergence Laboratory at the Harvard Wyss Institute for Bioinspired Engineering. At Autodesk, her research focusses on adaptive autonomy for robots in real world situations, tackling challenging problems in sensing, perception, and control.
